MY THETA STORY

Going to college I didn’t know much, but if there was one thing that I was absolutely certain, it was that I was not going to be a sorority girl. Fast forward through a very lonely first semester of freshman year and there I was lined up at every sorority house, trying to fit in and find forever friends. There was only one house that I knew without a doubt I wanted to be apart of- Theta. It was the only place I could be 100% me. I didn’t feel like I was breaking any rules by talking about my faith, but instead felt encouraged to share every part of myself. And they welcomed it.

I could not have been more excited on bid day to run (all the way) down Hampton to the gorgeous stone house. I went from having my roommate as my only friend to having 120+ girls love me unconditionally. We’re all different and we embrace it, encouraging each other to only be exactly who they are. So I’ll say it again, going to college I really didn’t know much and I’m so glad to admit that I was so wrong. I couldn’t be prouder to say that not only am I a sorority girl, but I’m a Gamma Kappa Alpha Theta.
