MY THETA STORY

There has not been a moment in my Theta journey that I have not been thankful for the endless amount of love I receive from my friends in Theta. Entering my first year of college, I was unsure of what a sorority was let alone if I wanted to join one, and I am beyond thankful I chose to go Greek and ultimately go Theta. Theta has led me to grow in lifelong friendships and kindle new ones. Without Theta, I could not have grown so close to a group of people who exceed expectations in all aspects of life. I have met so many amazing, inspiring, genuine, humble, and motived girls in this house and I take pride in the fact that I always learn something new every day in the sisterhood of Theta. Not only do I learn through the girls around me, but I can be myself. From making memories with a best friend I call my roommate, to late night dance parties in the kitchen, to winning spring skits, I wouldn’t trade any of these memories for the world. Theta has highlighted the good in my life, helped me through the tough times, and has inspired me to grow and be the best version of myself.

I have grown in friendship, scholarship, service, and many other things because of the people I have met through Theta. One of the first things I noticed about Theta was how the people surrounding each other had constant support and positivity. I am firm believer that you find yourself best when you surround yourself with people who are willing to learn from each other and I am so thankful to say that Theta has helped me find a community where I can learn from others but still be my true self. In my first moments of being a Theta, I remember looking up to the older girls as role models and thinking that I saw what I aspired to be in them because every single girl was a role model for personal excellence and both inner and outer beauty. As a whole house, I feel as though we make Theta unique because we all strive to be our best in different ways, and it is from this that we learn from each other and have such a well-founded support system. I am proud to be a gamma Theta, and am excited for the ongoing growth and love in the years to come.
